Richard Paradise: What can I say; it has all been said!
Dick would be embarrassed with the magnificent eulogies! Dick
touched all our lives with his gentle presence, his wonderful
sense of hospitality and caring. He made Christ so real to
everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew
him and especially by the ECHO community. A quote from Kahlil
Gibran brought me solace, “When you are sorrowful,
look again in your heart, and you will see that in truth you
are weeping for that which has been your delight.” You
were our delight Richard!
A Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated
on January 6th at 7:30p.m. at OLV. The young people of the
parish are planning the liturgy and all are invited. A gathering
and soda and coffee will follow in the hall.
ECHO 227 will
begin on Friday, Jan.10th and the closing will be held at
Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville on Sunday Jan. 12th
at 7 p.m. Plan to support the team and candidates with your
palanca. Once again we remind you that palanca means prayer
and sacrifice, the lifting of our hearts and minds to Jesus
asking Him to touch the hearts of the candidates and fill
them with His Spirit. The theme for the weekend is “Jesus
Is” from the song “Right in Front of You”
by Celine Dion:
Life, It can twist your heart, put you
in the dark.
I was cold and lonely. Doubt, It can close you in,
build the walls within, I let fear control me
I let go, didn’t know where the answer would be
Refrain:
Right in front of you, right in front of me
We were looking but somehow, some way, we
couldn’t see that love was always there, It’s
been
around us everywhere. I had to fall to finally see
that you were right in front of me.
Faith, it can lift you up and we’ve got enough to
reach a new beginning. Love, can withstand a storm.
In the final hour we’ll find the joy in living
Don’t let go ‘cause I know pretty soon you will
see.
You are my tomorrow, There’s safety in your arms.
Where you go, I’ll follow ‘cause you’re
the world
where I belong.
