OPENING LITURGY:
The thirty-fourth year of ECHO is off to a good start.
The opening liturgy at St. Francis Xavier parish (Fr. Tom
Frechette is the new pastor) was attended by over 50 people
with the music ministry adding their special talents. It was
a real homecoming for ECHO since the first ECHO on the Cape
was held in this parish. The new members of the Youth Board
were commissioned at the liturgy. (see web page for pictures
from the evening) A special thanks to Steve Goveia, our community
liason, for the great job contacting clergy for the opening
liturgy.
YOUTH BOARD:
The new adult members of the youth board are Ann Burchell,
Caitlin Hurley, Patti Machado, and Alex Moore. The student
members to date are Allen Shelby, Steve Anctil, Corrie Baker,
Taya Dwyer, Mike Mahoney, Kim Manning, and Mandy Morrison
with more names to follow.
The Youth Board will be much more active this year and will
be involved with planning many of the year’s activities.
Congratulations to one and all and thank you for accepting
this leadership role.

• A big hello from Fr. Bob Mosher who is celebrating
twenty years of serving in the missions of South America for
the Columban Fathers. Fr. Bob credits his experience on an
Echo weekend for awakening his interest in the priesthood.
Father sends his best to all and would love to be involved
with Echo the next time he is home.
• Dave Ryan and several teenagers led an Echo Information
night on Sept. 22 at St. John’s, Pocasset . Two candidates
are filling out applications and looking forward to Nov 8
– 10.
•Great to see so many familiar ECHO faces at the College
Information Night at Christ the King. There was a great turnout
and many took advantage of the opportunity to talk to graduates
from various colleges.
•Great to see Joanna Ward representating Notre Dame
University. Joanna was very involved in Echo as a candidate
and team member. She informed us that she lives right around
the corner in Boston from another Echo old friend. They get
together and share wonderful memories.

NEWSLETTER: With the ever-increasing cost of postage,
rather than ask for donations, we would like to send all newsletters
by e-mail. It is a rare candidate on ECHO these days who doesn’t
list an e-mail address. We realize that there are some special
valued Echo friends who do not do e-mail and we don’t
want to lose touch so we must hear from you by December 1st
if you wish to have the newsletter mailed to you.
If you have a new e-mail address, send to me at fullerm.massed@rcn.com
