CHRIST'S LOVE

February 2002 Vol. 10 No.5
www.echoofcapecod.org

Celebrate our new web page!!! Check it out! You will find the history of ECHO, information about the program, application to print, the monthly newsletter, pictures from ECHO #223 weekend, lists of team all the way from ECHO 6, and in the works - ECHO Trivia for you old timers. Don't forget to click on the pictures and underlined words for full size view. Many thanks for her wonderful design and construction of our web site, go to Jeanne Spellman (Echo 13 held at Cathedral Camp). Thank you! Thank you.

This week's ANCHOR had an interesting article about a group of teenagers called "The Holy Bandits" who talk to young students hoping to develop a new understanding of the Rosary. In their workshops one of the students said, "The mysteries of the Rosary are a glimpse into Mary's eyes. It's living what happened as Mary saw it. No one pains more over the loss of a child than a mother, and experiencing losing one's only son is powerful." The group supports Pope John Paul's plea to pray for peace after the Sept.11th terrorist attack by saying a decade on the rosary every day.

Lent begins on Feb.13th. As an ECHO community it is a time to recommit ourselves to prayer not only on Tuesday, Echo Prayer Day, but every day. A decade a day from each of us - prayer can change the world!

ECHO 222 will begin on Friday, Feb. 8th and the closing will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville, on Sunday Feb. 10th at 7 p.m. Plan to support the team and candidates with your palanca. Once again we remind you that PALANCA means prayer and sacrifice, the lifting of our hearts and minds to Jesus to ask Him to touch the hearts of the candidates and fill them with His Spirit.

The Palanca room, located in the Centerville Recreation Building on Main St., will be open from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Palanca room will not be open on Sundays.

The theme of the weekend will be When You Believe from the song by Mac Anally.

No explanation for the movin' of the mountain.
We only know it's gone from where it used to be.
Some things it seems there ain't no way around 'em.
But you don't always need to see...
When you believe, no goal is too high,
no dream you can't achieve, no water too wide,
Trust in your heart and go where it leads.
You already have everything you'll ever need -
When you believe
